Deborah Bilezikian
Teporah (officially known as Deborah Bilezikian) combines introspective lyrics with an emotional vocal palette varying from upbeat and bluesy, to introspective and soulful. Her influences range from Debussy and Satie to such classic female songwriters as Laura Nyro, and Kate Bush. An accomplished pianist, her style ranges from sweet and soft to acrobatic jazz and blues.
Teporah is classically trained in composition, (Peabody, Walden, and Oberlin), trumpet, and piano. An international award-winning composer (BMI) and musican, she settled into writing and playing a genre forged from a myriad of influences.
Teporah is a member of the Baltimore Songwriter's Association. Catch her solo act at local coffee houses, featuring ballads with thoughtful, soul-searching lyrics. The full band plays an upbeat gig with songs ranging in theme from love ballads to bluesy sing-alongs.
